These babies right here are the Limited Edition CHANEL 5018. They were released months ago in all black and are only half way tinted down the lens. They have wide round lenses that cover the entire eye. When they were released months back they were only worn exclusively on the runways and by several celebrities. 

When they finally retailed they were around $450 and sold out everywhere within hours. You can’t find them anymore at any official retailer but unless you’re willing to pay up to thousands of dollars you can find them through personal sellers online (ebay, amazon, authdiscount, bizrate).

Initially I saw them (in pictures) on Mary-Kate when she attended the CHANEL fashion show.

I loved them insitantly because I had never seen anything like them. I have seen, and own, sunglasses that fade from darkest to lightest shades of black and gray, but never had I seen half tinted shades. As usual, I made a mental note of them. Usually, when I make a mental note of something it becomes forever engraved in my mind until I can have it or find something to resemble it. It had been months since I had seen them around when I made my usual visit to GirlProps.com and BAM:

Since I am not opposed to look alikes I bought them right away! There were no shipping charges so it was just like a trip to the store. Girl Props customer service is great and the turn around time is SO FAST!  I had them in my mail box 3 days after I placed my order.  When I received them I thought it would be weird looking out of them but it’s not at all. The darker part is really dark and you can hardly see your eyes through the other side, and looking out of them is just like any other sunglasses. The lighter bottom is just clear which is really cool because sometimes when I wear sunglasses and I want to get a good (true to color) look of something I tend to lift my sunglasses which I don’t have to do when I wear these. I love them! They are the most chic fashion statement and I saved myself $440!
